An Endless Summer
|
|
This month’s edition of ReVisit Your Senses features four of July’s
great events in Lake Lure & the Blue Ridge Foothills. But there’s much more going on in July: street dances continue, and a gold dig is on, for starters. And in August, we’ll have the largest car show in the state,
and the largest sports festival in western North Carolina. So go to www.EndlessSummerSeries.com for the details on it all, and then come stay with us!

So you haven’t made your plans for the 4th? We have not one but
two 4th of July parties in Lake Lure & the Blue Ridge Foothills to answer your dilemma. Both are full of the fun activities you remember and fireworks ending the day with a bang.
In the refreshingly small downtown of Spindale, enjoy the
“Hometown” Fourth of July. From 2 PM to 10 PM, arts, crafts, food, live music, kids’ activities and a car show will fill your day. Fireworks are at 9 PM.

If you want your fireworks by the water, then head to Lake Lure for a “Family Fun Festival” from Noon until 8 PM, with fireworks following
at 9 PM. At the Family Fun Festival, you will find a bubble tent, tie-dye station, misting station, and more. Click here for more information.

July 18th, nature lovers and hiking buffs are all invited to Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park for a guided hike to see the state’s largest basswood tree. Sports: Forest City Owls In Full and Winning Swing

As we head to newsletter publication, the Owls are 21-2, in a
ten-game winning streak, and filling their hometown stadium. For families or friends, a night at the Owls is a chance for hot dogs, warm weather, small-town friendly people, a beautiful new stadium, and baseball. Baseball -- the way it was meant.
